Hyundai Engineering & Construction recorded its winning streak since the opening of the women's volleyball league with a set score of 3-1 against Pepper Savings Bank at Pepper Stadium in Gwangju on 28th of October.
Yasmin (22 points), Yang Hyo-jin (19 points), and Lee Da-hyun (15 points) were the main players in the victory. In the first set, Yasmin's back attack, open attack, and Yang Hyo-jin's serve helped win the first set. However, Pepper Savings Bank took the next set through jet lag attacks and blocking. In the third and fourth sets, Jung Ji-yoon, Hwang Min-kyung and Yang Hyo-jin all succeeded in open attacks and won two more sets for their team.
With the result, Hyundai Engineering & Construction rose to first place with six points, while Pepper Savings Bank fell to the bottom with two consecutive losses.
It was a match between the weakest team and the strongest team last season. Like last season, Pepper Savings Bank is not expected to be easy this season.
