OPPO Find N6 Reveals Near-Crease-Free Foldable Display Technology

OPPO has unveiled the core technologies behind its foldable smartphone, the Find N6. The device is positioned as the foldable phone with the flattest display in the world, featuring a crease that is nearly invisible to the naked eye.

This is the result of a series of new engineering improvements introduced at the Foldable Display Technology Media Conference, where OPPO highlighted its efforts to minimize creasing — a long-standing limitation of previous foldable smartphones.

According to OPPO, the Find N6 is designed to deliver a seamless display experience where users can hardly notice the fold during everyday use. Its breakthrough hinge design significantly improves screen flatness compared to earlier foldable devices. As a result, the display feels more continuous when unfolded, similar to a tablet. In other words, when opened, the Find N6’s screen appears almost completely flat, eliminating the visible crease commonly seen on previous foldable phones.

The key technological advancement lies in its new-generation titanium alloy hinge. Unlike traditional triple-axis hinge designs, the Find N6 features a four-axis symmetrical structure inspired by biomimicry, built using chip-level 3D-printed polymer technology. This design reduces hinge surface unevenness from 0.18 mm to just 0.1 mm. Thanks to this structure, the screen remains flatter in the folding area while also providing smoother opening and closing.

In addition, OPPO introduced a new flexible glass technology called Dome Memory Glass. This innovative material helps the screen maintain its flatness even after repeated folding. OPPO claims that this glass is three times more durable than conventional foldable glass and can recover up to 99.9% of its original shape after being bent.

Finally, the OPPO Find N6 has successfully passed over 600,000 folding tests and has received crease performance certification from TÜV Rheinland. This confirms both the device’s durability and its significantly improved ability to maintain a flat display.
