Demon levels are where this game gets serious. The hardest ones push your skill, patience, and reaction time to the absolute limit. Some of them take months of practice, perfect muscle memory, and split-second decision-making just to have a shot at completion. Only the best players in the world can consistently beat these levels, and even then, it's a challenge every time.
This list is all about the hardest of the hard. These are the levels that have frustrated, humbled, and, after countless attempts, rewarded players with some of the most satisfying victories in the game. They require frame-perfect inputs, memorization of brutal patterns, and insane consistency to complete. If you've beaten any of them, you know how much effort it takes. If you're still grinding, you know the struggle all too well.

Sonic Wave has emerged as truly the hardest demon of our time. With crazy wave timings, as well as the headache-inducing nine circles effect, this level can only be beaten by the best of the best. It was originally intended to rival Bloodbath, and it has completed that goal by a long shot.
It is currently #1 on the Geometry Dash official top demon list, while Bloodbath is battling to keep its spot in the top 20. Sonic Wave truly is the ultimate challenge. Verified by Sunix.
It is so hard. I have to say, comparing Bloodbath to Sonic Wave is like comparing Stereo Madness to Sonic Wave. Sonic Wave easily crushes all the other levels in difficulty. The wave is nearly impossible. This is easily first place.
Black Blizzard requires almost-perfect timing, while Sonic Wave needs PERFECT timing. I only have two percent on this though. I'm pretty screwed. How the heck did Sunix beat this?
Very hard, took me forever to get past just 1%, and I couldn't even pass 5% on practice mode. I mean, okay, I've only beaten 666 demons, and this isn't quite as hard as practice mode stereo madness, but still, since that isn't on the list, I'll pick this. If Yatagarasu were on, I'd vote there, but if Stereo Madness were on, I'd vote for it, no questions asked.
This is so hard that it can't be completed in one day. It could take weeks, months, or even years. Tight rocket spaces, precise square and ball areas, UFO timing areas, and deadly wave parts. This is also harder than Cataclysm and Aftermath, which are also part of the 3-part series.

Bloodlust is basically a buffed and lengthened version of Bloodbath, which was once the hardest demon on Geometry Dash. Every single part of it requires immense skill and timing, but it's actually doable, unlike some like Woodkid, just that the difficulty is one that surpasses much.
I'm just saying, go try Bloodlust. If you can get to 1% on your first try or finish the level in less than 1,000 attempts in practice mode, congratulate yourself, because the verifier took 120,000 normal attempts and 1,000 hours of playtime.
How the heck are Bloodbath and Sonic Wave over Bloodlust and Zodiac? Zodiac is easily the hardest with the 4x speed cube and tight spaces. Bloodlust comes second, and Crimson Planet comes third. Sonic Wave is just a flashy wave that you can get used to.
I admit there are tight spaces, but they're nothing compared to the ones I mentioned above.
Ok, so this level technically isn't verified yet, but it is harder than Bloodbath, The Hell Factory, Sonic Wave, Sakupen Hell (which is hacked), and all the other contenders. Utilizing almost every game mechanic known and created by 20+ players, this is hands down the hardest level in the game.
Less-than-one-block-space flying, quadruple spikes, extreme mini-wave, lightning-fast gameplay, confusing decorations, and extreme memorization make this the hardest (will be) level in the game. And search up some edited-together videos of it before you dare even consider otherwise.
This level is insane. Mind-blowing. Definitely one of the hardest, with so much detail making it hard for you to see what to do. And don't forget the length! This level is 3 minutes long, longer than even Bloodlust, technically not released yet. Tight wave, fast-paced, and precise timing make it really hard. Must be at least #2.
Took over 60,000 attempts to verify this, which is insane. Like actually insane. Also, Xander556, who verified it, said it's easily harder than Bloodlust, and Bloodlust was officially number 1 before Zodiac was released.
This is a level that I would say is harder than Tartarus. I find demons with massive variety in difficulty are normally harder than people believe. I'm not that good at the game, but the demon list says it's the hardest, and I trust the large group of great players that create that list.

According to the Pointercrate Demonlist, this is number 1. Most players who have beaten this agree that this is the hardest demon in the game. It has good decoration for 1.9, though it was not actually uploaded in 1.9, but in 2.11. This project was started before Bloodbath, though, and it looked very different then and was called Silent Akbar.
Arguably harder than Bloodlust, Tartarus is one of the top difficult levels in the game. Every part is ridiculously hard. Tartarus, I have both played and watched videos on. It is extremely hard, and I think it should be the second hardest.
Well, it is said that this level is actually impossible, and I agree! The intense mini wave sections cause you to rage absolutely, and this is also the level that made me break my phone. I agree that Sonic Wave is harder because the wave is the tightest wave ever.
Wow, I only got like 2 percent on it. Who on earth would get that? I have to say, this level is much harder than Bloodlust, Bloodbath, and Yatagarasu. Nobody has beaten it legitimately. It was hacked to be verified. It should not qualify.
Some timings are insane and easily outmatch the timings in Plasma Pulse Finale. Then that wave is insane, 10 times harder than the ones in Cataclysm. Easily harder than Bloodlust.
The hardest wave parts in any rated level in the game. I think this is the hardest level in Geometry Dash. It has crimson, which is red like Bloodbath, but it's a more intense red.
Unpopular opinion, but in my opinion, this is harder than Zodiac. The wave sections are extreme, and you need extremely precise timings to pass. Overall, just redecorated hyperbuffed and extended Sakupen Hell. Buffed and extended rebirth of Sakupen Hell. Verified by npesta (his reaction, though). Currently the fourth hardest level ever.

Okay, all of these like Sonic Wave, Bloodbath, Erebus, are, to be honest, sort of tied. Sakupen Hell, Bloodlust, Black Blizzard, Phobos, Athanatos, all really, REALLY hard. Some are harder, but this just clarifies.
And for those who said we're idiots for not picking Bloodbath, Bloodlust is just harder. It's based on Bloodbath. Anyway, I chose this because it is legitimately the hardest timing demon there is. No doubt about it. Okay, so this level has a lot of hard dual parts, and the mini double gravity orbs are really hard! The end is extremely annoying.
An Extreme Demon is the highest difficulty rating in Geometry Dash. These levels demand near-perfect precision, advanced control of all game modes, and strong muscle memory. Unlike easier demons, Extreme Demons often include frame-perfect inputs, tight wave corridors, fast transitions, heavy memorization, and minimal room for error. Levels like Geometry Dash push the limits of player reaction time, and Extreme Demons represent the absolute peak of that difficulty. Completing one is considered a major milestone in the community.
The “hardest” level changes over time based on rankings such as the Pointercrate Demonlist. At different points, levels like Tartarus, Zodiac, and Sonic Wave have all held the top position. Difficulty rankings are based on player opinions, completion data, and overall consistency required. Because new levels are constantly being created and old ones get beaten more often, the #1 spot is always evolving.
It depends on skill level, but for most players, it can take weeks, months, or even years. Top players may spend tens of thousands of attempts learning patterns and building consistency. For example, some verifiers of top demons have reported 50,000 to over 100,000 attempts before completion. These levels require more than just reaction speed — they demand repetition, patience, and mental endurance.
In the past, some levels were believed to be impossible or were hacked for verification. Over time, however, players continue to push boundaries and prove that “impossible” often just means “ahead of its time.” Levels like Sakupen Hell were once surrounded by controversy, but the community eventually works toward legitimate completions. What seems unbeatable today might become manageable in a few years as skill ceilings rise.
Wave gameplay demands extremely precise control, especially in tight corridors or mini-wave sections. Many top demons — including Bloodlust and Kenos — rely heavily on intense wave timing. Unlike cube or ball gameplay, wave leaves almost no margin for correction. One tiny mistake usually means instant failure, which is why many players consider heavy-wave levels the ultimate skill test.
The hardest Geometry Dash Demon levels are more than just difficult stages — they are endurance tests, reaction challenges, and proof of dedication. Levels like Bloodbath, Crimson Planet, and Black Blizzard have shaped the competitive scene and defined what “Extreme Demon” truly means.
Each of these levels represents a different type of challenge. Some focus on brutal wave precision, others on long endurance runs, and some combine every mechanic in the game into a relentless gauntlet. What they all share is one thing: they demand absolute consistency.
For most players, even reaching a few percent on these levels is an achievement. For elite players, beating them is a badge of honor. And for the entire community, they represent how far skill, creativity, and determination can go.
