[TIL] Error: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

옳은 password를 입력해도 계속 되지 않았다. 그래서...

brew services start mysql
mysqld stop
mysql -u root -p

이렇게 순서대로 치니까 다시 잘 작동했다. macOS에서 자주 일어나는 문제인 것 같았다.
