How do I permanently delete my account?

Before deleting your account, you may want to log in and download a copy of your information (such as your photos and posts) from Facebook, and a copy of your information from Oculus if you use your Facebook account to log into Oculus. Once your account is deleted, you won't be able to get back anything you've added.

To permanently delete your account:
Click at the top right of Facebook.
Select Settings & Privacy> Settings.
Click Your Facebook Information in the left column.
Click Deactivation and Removal.
Choose Permanently delete account, and then click Continue with account deletion.
Click Remove account, enter your password, and then click Continue.

Can I cancel the deletion of my account?

If it has been less than 30 days since the deletion started, you can cancel the deletion of your account. After 30 days, your account and all of your information will be permanently deleted and you will not be able to retrieve your information.

It may take up to 90 days from the beginning of the removal process to remove all the things you have posted. While we delete this information, other people who use Facebook cannot access it.
