Chapter1. Control of Power Electronic Converters with Microgrid Applications

1.1 introduction to Power electronics

전력전자는 근본적으로 power processing이다. 즉, electronics, control, 그리고 signal processing 을 통해 electrical energy를 제어하는 분야이다.

Fig1.1은 power system electornics system을 보여준다. 이때, input source는 DC(BESS, solar PV, fuel cell...)이나 AC(grid, wind turbine...)이 될 수 있다. 또는 에너지를 저장하는 capacitor이 될 수도 있다. AC system에서는 input이 단상, 삼상일 수도 있다.
Load는 AC 또는 DC가 될 수 있으며 이들은 높은 전압이나 낮은 전압에서 작동할 수 있고, AC에서 주파수 또한 변할 수 있다.

Power converter은 반도체 스위치 device와 수동 소자들로 이루어진다.
