  1. pitfall : a hidden or unsuspected danger or difficulty

    ex) a covered pit used as a trap

  2. bill something as something : to advertise or describe something in a particular way.

    ex) The castle bills itself as the oldest in England.

  3. sober : to gradually become less drunk, or to make someone become less drunk.

    ex) Well, then, sober up and go get her.

  4. sniff around : to try to find out information about somebody/something, expecially secret information.

  5. intrigue : arouse the curiosity or interest of; fascinate / the secret planning of something illicit or detrimental.

    ex) He's a cinch to win the race.
