1. 영화
What kind of movies do you like to watch? Why?
"I prefer movies that explore life, especially those that have a real impact on me. It might sound a bit philosophical, but I still enjoy a casual and relatable approach."
Can you describe a movie you recently watched?
"One of the movies I recently watched was Love Actually. I watched it on Christmas, about a month ago. I really liked it because it features five or six different love stories—between young and old people, within families and even outside of them. I loved all of them, but my favorite was the story about a guy who is in love with his friend’s wife. At the end of the movie, he finally confesses his feelings on Christmas. It was so romantic!"
Do you prefer watching movies at home or in the theater? Why?
"I prefer watching movies at home because I have a huge screen and decent speakers in my room. So, I don’t really need to go to the theater since I already have a good setup."
2. 공원
Can you describe a park you like to visit?
"There’s a small park near my place, and not many people go there. I often go for a walk there, and I really enjoy spending time in the park because walking helps me clear my mind and relieve stress. Sometimes, I see families—fathers and sons, fathers and daughters—playing with a ball or jumping around on the playground. Watching them is just... heartwarming."
What do you usually do when you go to a park?
"I usually walk around the park, sit on a bench, and watch the people there. As I mentioned, sometimes I see families—parents and kids—spending time together. They look so happy, and it makes me happy too."
Do you think parks are important in cities? Why?
"I think parks are very important in cities, especially in developed ones. It’s hard to see trees or grass when you live in a city because it's just a gridlock of buildings. Air pollution is also severe, so having a park nearby allows people to get fresh air and be closer to nature. Plus, the trees and grass in parks help reduce air pollution, making them essential in urban areas."
3. 구직활동
"I'm currently a job seeker, and I’m looking for a position as a Machine Learning Engineer since I have over five years of experience in the field.
To find job opportunities, I use LinkedIn because it has the most job openings in the world. It not only lists jobs in Korea but also in other countries like Canada, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand—basically everywhere.
LinkedIn is my go-to platform because you can upload your resume to your profile, and sometimes recruiters reach out to you with job opportunities. When I find a job posting, I review the job description to see if my experience matches the requirements. If it’s a good fit, I apply.
If the company is interested, they arrange a job interview. I haven’t had any interviews yet, but I’m confident I’ll get some soon!"
Can you describe your current job?
"Actually, I don’t have a job at the moment because I quit my previous one a few months ago. I worked as a data scientist at a company called Lotus Shopping, which is a typical department store that sells all kinds of products, ranging from fashion to furniture—pretty much everything. My job was to send out promotions with the right content to the right people, encouraging them to visit and spend more money at the store."
What is your dream job?
"My dream job is teaching. It has been my dream since I finished high school. I want to go back to my school and become a teacher there because of an experience I had with one of my teachers. When I first got a high grade on an exam, he wrote, Well done! All the hard work pays off next to my score. I was so moved and touched by his words that it motivated me to keep working hard. That moment gave me momentum, and it still influences me even now, more than 10 years later. I want to be someone who can inspire others—not just by teaching academic knowledge but also by sharing wisdom and guiding them personally."
What do you think is the most important factor when choosing a job?
"The most important factor when choosing a job is the tasks I do at work. If the work doesn’t align with what I want to do, it becomes very difficult because I won’t feel like I’m improving in the right direction or on the right track. So, my number one priority is the actual work itself."
4. 술집/바
How often do you go to bars?
"I go to bars at least once a month, and at most, once a week. But since I need to save money and don’t have much time, I try to limit it to once a month."
Can you describe a memorable experience you had at a bar?
"Yes, I have a memorable experience at a bar. I was drinking a beer and went to the toilet. As I pulled down my pants, my phone accidentally dropped into the toilet bowl. The water was still clean, but I didn’t know how to take it out—I didn’t want to use my hand. So, I went outside and asked a waiter for help.
When we returned with a pole to fish it out, we realized that someone was already inside the stall. I knocked on the door and asked if the person had seen my phone before using the toilet. I was shouting, Please don’t flush it! It was quite a dilemma.
Then, I suddenly heard the toilet flushing. I panicked, thinking my phone was gone. But when the person opened the door, he handed me my phone! He said he had taken it out with his hands before using the toilet. Surprisingly, my phone still worked after I dried it out completely. It was a shocking and nerve-wracking experience, but definitely unforgettable!"
What kind of drinks do you usually order at a bar?
"I only order beer for myself because I don’t know much about other drinks. There are so many different options on the menu with strange names, and I don’t really know what they are. Plus, I avoid caffeine because of a bad experience—I once drank three coffees in a row and had a terrible reaction. Since then, I’ve never had coffee again.
Sometimes, if I order something other than beer, they mix the alcohol with energy drinks, which have a high amount of caffeine. To avoid that, I just stick to beer for my own sake."
5. 카페/커피숍
Do you often go to coffee shops? Why or why not?
"I go to coffee shops about once a week. Even though I don’t drink coffee, they’re a common meeting place. When I hang out with friends or go on a date with my girlfriend, we often go to a coffee shop to chat. It’s not just about what you eat or drink—it’s more about having a place to talk. So yeah, I go to a coffee shop almost every weekend."
What’s your favorite drink at a coffee shop?
"My favorite drink at a coffee shop is chamomile tea because I can’t have caffeine. I had a bad experience in the past when I drank three coffees in a row and had a terrible reaction. Since then, I’ve never had coffee again.
I’ve tried many kinds of tea — some still contain caffeine, but others don’t. Chamomile tea helps me relax and calms my nerves, so it became my favorite."
Can you describe your ideal coffee shop atmosphere?
"My ideal coffee shop atmosphere is spacious, meaning the tables aren’t too close to each other. I like a quiet and cozy environment where I can relax and have a conversation without too much noise. Soft lighting and comfortable seating also make a big difference. A little background music is nice, but it shouldn’t be too loud."
6. 쇼핑
Where do you usually go shopping?
"I go to department stores for Fashion items and use online shopping malls in Korea for almost everything else. Online shopping is very convenient because delivery is super fast—usually just one day on average.
For fashion items like clothing, I prefer shopping in person because I want to see how the outfit looks on me in real life. This helps me avoid mistakes with size and color. So, depending on the type of product, I choose between offline and online shopping."
Do you prefer online shopping or offline shopping? Why?
"Like I mentioned, I prefer offline shopping for fashion items and online shopping for almost everything else. For professional items, I like to see how the outfit looks on me in real life to avoid mistakes with size and color.
For other items, I just use online shopping because in Korea, delivery is super fast—usually just one day on average. I think this way, I’m making very rational shopping choices."
Can you describe a time when you bought something special?
"Yes, I remember when I bought a pair of Gucci earrings for my girlfriend last Christmas. There was a promotion with a 50% discount, so everyone was rushing to the store. By the time I got there, only a few items were left, so I had to choose quickly. I picked what I thought was the best one and got it at a reasonable price with the discount coupon.
But it turned out my girlfriend didn’t really like them. She doesn’t wear the earrings often because she thinks they look more like finger rings than earrings. And to be honest, I kind of agree with her."

7. 음악
What kind of music do you listen to?
"I usually listen to pop songs. My favorite musicians are Coldplay, Billy Joel, and Ed Sheeran. I like them not only because of their great melodies but also because they write fantastic lyrics, especially about life.
Their music influences me and inspires me to become a better person. When I face difficulties, their lyrics really comfort me and help me get through hard times. That’s why I prefer listening to pop songs."
Can you describe your favorite artist or band?
"My number one favorite artist is Ed Sheeran because his voice is wonderful, and he is a great composer. In his lyrics, he talks about many aspects of life—relationships, family, and self-reflection—so I can relate to a lot of his songs.
I also love the way he sings. I can feel that he genuinely wants to make a positive impact on people. His approach to music is simple yet powerful—he doesn’t need a full orchestra, just his guitar and voice. I admire him a lot; he’s truly inspirational. That’s why he’s my favorite artist."
When do you usually listen to music?
"I usually listen to music when I commute to work or on my way back home. During work, I’m not allowed to listen to music, and after work, when I’m at home, I avoid it if I need to concentrate on something.
Listening to music can be distracting for me because I tend to connect deeply with the lyrics and the emotions in the songs. That’s why I don’t listen to music when I need to focus, even when I work out at the gym."
8. 사진 촬영하기
What do you like to take pictures of?
"I like taking pictures of people. I’m not a professional photographer, but I enjoy going outside with my camera and capturing moments on the street. When I see someone who looks photogenic, I approach them and ask if I can take a quick picture. If they agree, I take their photo."
Can you describe your favorite photo you’ve taken?
"My favorite photo that I’ve taken is a portrait of my teacher from New Zealand when I visited my school after 15 years. My teacher, Mr. Concert, looked much older, and I captured a close-up portrait of him.
While retouching the photo, I noticed all the wrinkles on his face, and it felt so heartwarming. To me, those wrinkles represented his dedication and hard work in teaching and guiding students. That’s why I think it’s the best photo I’ve taken so far."
Do you prefer digital or film photography? Why?
"I prefer film photography for a few reasons.
First, you have to wait until you finish a roll of 27 or 36 pictures and get it developed. You don’t know how the photos will turn out until then, and that’s the fun part. Sometimes, they come out even better than expected, and sometimes, they turn out to be rubbish. But the excitement of not knowing the results until they’re developed makes it special.
Also, film photography makes you more careful when taking pictures because each shot costs more compared to digital photography. You have to be more thoughtful before pressing the shutter.
Lastly, film photos feel more natural. Digital cameras produce higher-resolution images with better picture quality, but to me, they sometimes look a bit artificial. Film captures a more authentic and nostalgic feel, which I really like."

9. 축구
"There are many rules in football, but the most important one is that you cannot use your hands or arms to touch the ball, except during a throw-in.
Sometimes, the ball accidentally hits a player’s hand or arm. In that case, the referee decides whether it was intentional or not and may call a foul."
"My favorite football club is Tottenham Hotspur, which plays in the English Premier League. The main reason I support them is because of Son Heung-min, my favorite player.
Son and I were born in the same year, and I really like his playing style and movement. He’s primarily a left winger, but he scores so many goals that he sometimes plays as a striker. I’ve been watching him play for the past seven years, and he even won the Golden Boot a few years ago. Right now, he is one of the best players in the world.
Sometimes, I go to a bar with a big screen to watch Tottenham Hotspur matches with other fans. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the excitement of watching the games with other people."
How often do you play football?
"I play football once a week on Saturdays. I play as a left winger because it’s my favorite position, and it’s also the only cardio I do at the moment.
While I’m playing, I don’t think about anything else—I just focus on football. It’s a great way to relieve stress and refresh myself."
Can you describe a memorable game you played?
"Yes, there’s one game that I’ll never forget. It was the first time I scored a hat trick in my life, and I did it using my right foot, left foot, and a header. It felt incredible because I used every key part of my body in football.
I was extremely happy at that moment, and to make it even better, we won the game. The final score was 3-2. So yeah, that’s the most memorable football game I’ve ever played."
Do you prefer watching or playing football? Why?
"I prefer playing football over watching it because whenever I watch a game, I feel like I want to play—I even think I could do better sometimes!
I'd rather play myself and work on improving, just like the professional players I watch on TV. Also, playing football is a great way to exercise since it involves a lot of cardio, which helps improve my health. So yeah, that’s why I’d rather play football than just watch it."
10. 걷기
Where do you usually go for a walk?
"I usually go for a walk from work to a park near my place. Not many people go there, which makes it a peaceful spot for me.
As I walk in the park, I can clear my mind, relieve stress, and organize my thoughts. I actually do this every day after work, right before dinner. It helps me feel more refreshed in the evening and even improves my sleep.
This walk is different from my daily commute—it's just for myself, a time when I can focus on my thoughts and unwind."
Do you prefer walking alone or with someone? Why?
"I think I prefer walking alone because when I walk, I try to organize my thoughts and relieve stress. If I’m with someone, I have to focus on them instead of fully focusing on myself. So, I usually prefer walking alone.
But if I go for a walk 10 times, maybe once or twice, it would be nice to have someone with me. Talking to someone can help me organize my thoughts better and make more rational decisions by getting their advice. Also, listening to them can be comforting and make me feel better."
11. 헬스
What kind of workouts do you do at the gym?
"So at the gym, I start with stretching and then focus on different muscle groups like back, chest, legs, and arms. I divide my workouts over six days, focusing on one body part each day because I heard that’s the best way to build muscle.
These days, I’m focusing more on my back and legs because those muscles are especially important for football players."
Do you prefer working out alone or with a friend? Why?
"I prefer working out with a friend because when you lift weights, having a supporter helps you push yourself more. It’s generally known that doing an extra two or three reps helps muscles grow more efficiently.
So rather than working out alone, I’d prefer to go to the gym with a friend. But since I live by myself and don’t have friends around this area, I haven’t worked out with a friend in a long time. I think I should make a friend at the gym so we can support each other."

"Three months ago, I went on a nostalgia trip to New Zealand. I spent my high school years there for about four years a long time ago, but since returning to my country, I hadn’t been back in 13 years.
This trip was a journey down memory lane. I met my friends, visited my old school, and went to all the places I remembered. It brought back so many memories, and thoughts from my younger self kept popping into my head—my concerns, my dreams, and everything I used to think about.
It wasn’t just a normal trip; it was a deep and meaningful experience. During my 10-day journey, I shared everything with ChatGPT—my memories, my thoughts, and what actually happened—and asked for a biography to be written based on it. The result was amazing, and I really loved it.
So far, this trip has been the most memorable one of my life."
"Generative AI has now permeated people’s lives. With the emergence of services powered by generative AI, the way people live has changed significantly.
In the past, if you wanted to find information, you had to search online. If that didn’t work, you had to go to the library or ask someone for help. But today, you can simply ask ChatGPT or Gemini for anything. If they don’t have the answer, it probably doesn’t exist.
Now, if you need to write a resume or cover letter, study English or math, or even create a report for work, you can just ask AI. All you need to do is provide the necessary information, and AI will help you get the job done."**
"The economic situation in Korea is not very good. It has been getting worse and worse, but about two months ago, when the president announced martial law, things became even more severe.
As a result, many foreign investors withdrew their money from the country, causing the exchange rate to skyrocket. Since then, a lot of people have been struggling—at least that’s what I see on the news.
To overcome this crisis, we need to stabilize our political system again. However, with the ongoing trial, I think it will take some time before we have a new president and a properly functioning government."
