영어 스터디 - unless, as long as, not unless
Alright. It looks like the 5th of October is our best option as the moment unless you have another idea. OK. I think as long as we make fast decisions, that'll give us plenty of time to prepare. Hopefully, we don't run into the same issue we did last time. But that's probably not going to happen, not unless we make the exact same mistake.
- unless : ... 이/가 아니라면.
- unless + 예외 조건
- as long as : ... 만 ...하다면.
- ...인 한 이라는 해석보다는 ...만 ...하다면 해석이 좀더 자연스럽다
- 차만 안 막히면 - as long as there isn't too much traffic
- 너만 괜찮다면 - as long as you're OK with it
- not unless :
- unless 와 같은 뜻이다.
- ❗️not 은 unless를 부정하는 게 아니라, 앞의 부정형 문장을 대표하는 역할이다.
- 위의 예문 같은 경우 not = that's probably not going to happen 의 의미이다.

- 따라서 언제나 부정형 문장 뒤에 이어서 사용된다.
- 조건을 걸면서 ...하지 않는 이상...하지 않겠다는 의미.
- 걔가 먼저 사과하지 않는 이상 다시는 걔랑 얘기 안 할 거야 - I'm never going to talk to him again not unless he apologizes to me first.
