Log in to Comcast Xfinity Router to change password
Connect the PC / laptop to the LAN port of your Comcast router or connect with WiFi.
Go to the LAN settings of the computer and use the static IP address 10.0.0.2 if the default IP address of the Xfinity router is 10.0.0.1.
Open a web browser like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla and access the IP address of Xfinifiy router "https //10.0.0.1 login" in the URL bar and press the Enter key.
Use the default username "admin" and the password "password" to log into the router settings.
Find the Wireless tab in the settings menu and go to wireless settings
Change the WiFi name and password within the wireless settings and save the settings.
To configure, the WAN network go to Network and look for the WAN and LAN settings.
After saving the settings, WiFi will be disconnected from all devices. Reconnect to the Xfinity wifi router with the newly updated password.
Change your Xfinity password online with My account
In addition to xfinity.com/password, you can log in to the Users page under My Account to update your Xfinity ID and password or update them for another user in your account:
Log in to My Account and select the Users tab.
Click Edit next to the user.
Scroll down to the Xfinity ID and Password section and click Edit next to Password.

Enter the new password and confirm it by entering it again. Then click Save.
