HBA and PERC Differences
A host bus adapter (HBA and eHBA) is an expansion card that plugs inside a slot on a server system board (such as PCIe).
The HBA connects the host to the storage or network devices and delivers fast, reliable non-RAID I/O.
A PERC card is similar to an HBA and adds redundancy, improved performance, and reduced latency.
RAID controllers are typically more expensive than HBAs and handle fewer devices.
HBA is a passthrough device while RAID has more functions and features.
PERC 12
PERC 12 시리즈는 NVMe 드라이브를 지원하는 RAID 및 Non‑RAID 구성을 모두 지원할 수 있도록 칩셋이 업데이트되었습니다. 구성 및 관리는 iDRAC, OpenManage Server Administrator(OMSA), 그리고 UEFI의 HII(Human Interface Infrastructure) 를 통해 수행할 수 있습니다.
