1. Qualitative

• Categorical data

• Describes information

• Categorize based on properties, attributes, labels, identifiers

• Examples:
  - Sex
  - Name
  - Country

2. Quantitative

• Can be measured, counted

1) Discrete

• Can only take certain values

• Examples:
  - Shoe size: 230, 240, ...
  - Apples : 3 Apples, 5 Apples ...

2) Continuous

• Can take any values
• Examples:
  - Height
  - Weight
  - Temperature

1. Dimensions

• Qualitative Data (Names, Dates, Geographical datas) → Dimensions shelf
• Can convert to measures
• Form headers
• Affect the level of detail (using Sub-Category → more depth, granularity)

2. Measures

• Quantitive, Numeric Data → Measures shelf
• Can convert to dimensions
• Can be aggregated (automatically but not always same aggregation)
• Form an axes

3. Pills

• Category, Columns
• Blue pills (Discrete)
• Green pills (Continuous)
