  • Summary: An epidural injection is a medical procedure that delivers therapeutics directly near the spinal cord for pain management. Due to the complexity of the spinal cord, imprecise needle insertion can cause irreversible damage. This paper explores integrating a telerobotic system and AR assistance. Magnetic trackers are used for real-time 3D model projection onto the patient’s body to improve needle insertion accuracy. A new gripper was designed specifically for epidural needle insertion (ENI).
