영어 스터디 6. - to name a few / to say the least / least of all
세 구문의 활용과 의미가 비슷한 면이 있다.
(just) to name a few
- "~ 말고도 더 있다.", "몇 가지만 말하자면, ... "
I love traveling Southeast Asia. I've been to the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia (just) to name a few. I think Thailand was my favorite.
I've tried many different diets - Atkins, Keto, intermittent fasting (just) to name a few. For me, intermittent fasting was the hardest.

- ~하는 (~인) 정도가 아니다. 실제로는 그것보다 더했다 의 의미.
The show started off really well, But around halfway through the second season, it got really wierd to say the least. Towards the end, it actually felt like a completely different show.

- react : 반응하다 // take it : 받아들이다. (주로 나쁜 소식에 대해)
- I don't blame them.
- 직역 : 나는 그들을 비난하지 않는다.
- 의역 : 그들이 이상한 건 아니다.
My mom's test came back negative. So I'm very relieved to say the least.
엄마 검사 결과가 음성으로 나와서 안도가 되는 정도가 아니었지.
least of all (누구 / 무엇 / 절 / 문장)
- 특히 아니다 / 아니었다 / 하지 않았다.
- 최소한 (누구/무엇/절/문장)만큼은 ..하지 않았다.
- 부정문에 이어서 나온다.
- least of all 과 의미적으로 비슷한 것이 especially not (특히 ..가 아닌)이기 때문.
- 표현의 강도는 especially not 보다 least of all이 더 강조하는 경향이 있다.
I try to backup all the files on my computer as often as I can because I don't want to lose anything, least of all my lesson vedios.
She was very proacvite at work but nobody really shared her energy, least of all her boss.
그녀는 직장에서 할 일을 미리미리 찾아서 하는 편이었는데, 아무도 그녀와 같은 그런 에너지가 없었어. 특히 그녀의 상사가 그런 게 없었어.
