확률 용어

A sample space is the set of all possible outcomes of an experiment.

An event is a subset of the sample space.

확률의 Naive한 정리

  • 내포된 가정
    • 모든 사건이 발생할 확률은 같다.
    • Sample space(결과의 수)가 유한하다.

Counting principle

Multiplication Rule

각각의 시행에서 발생 가능한 경우의 수가 n1,n2,…,nrn_1, n_2, \ldots, n_r가지일 때, 1,2,…,r1, 2, \ldots, r번의 시행에서 발생 가능한 모든 경우의 수는 n1×n2×⋯×nr\boxed{n_1 \times n_2 \times \cdots \times n_r}가지이다.

  • 아이스크림 가게에서 맛은 3가지, 콘은 2가지가 있다고 가정한다.
    • 1번 시행에서는 맛을 선택하므로 3가지 경우가 있고, 2번 시행에서는 콘을 선택하므로 2가지 경우가 있다.

(nk)=n!(n−k)!k!\binom{n}{k} = \frac{n!}{(n-k)!k!}
