  • get so close to limit. dx over dt = tangent line
    • instantaneous rate of change = slope of tangent line
    • The derivative of a funciont at a point = the slope of the tangent at that particular point

Slopes, maxima and minima

  • 차가 가장 멀리 간 곳은 차가 안 움직인 순간
    • maximum or minimum in a function, derivative is zero

The inverse function and its derivative

  • g(x) = f^-1(x)
    g(f(x)) = x

  • so if f and g are inverse functions, derivative of g(x) is 1 over derivative of f(x)
