Today's Lesson: Game Currency

Summary

1. we take a look at how we can create a simple currency system for our role playing game (RPG) within Unreal Engine 4.

2. We show you how to create the variables for the currency and then display it on the UI using content bindings.

◼️ Currency 관련 변수 생성
In Character Blueprint <Magic Character/Swrod Character>

  • New Variable: Currency
    - Type: Integer
    - Default Value: 0

✅ UI

◼️ Currency UI 생성
In Widget Blueprint <RPGHUD/MeleeHUD>

  • Text(Currency_Value)
  • Image(Currency_Image)
  • Text - 바인딩 생성
    - As Magic Character → Get Currency → ToText
    - Minimum Integral Digits: 3

✅ Result

  • Magic Character - Currency
  • Sword Character - Currency
